Beatrice Conover (she/her)

Hello and welcome! I am a doula and childbirth educator, specializing in HypnoBirthing® and preparation for parenthood. As an educator my goal is to be a safe space for birthing folks (and their village) to be fully equipped to gracefully and confidently navigate the radical emotional, physical, and practical shifts that welcoming a new child can bring.

I have trained with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings and HypnoBirthing® International. My care is trauma informed and evidence based. I am honored to hold space for you in this tender and life-changing time. My work is grounded in reproductive justice, meaning that the following human rights are at the center of my work: the right to personal bodily autonomy, the right to have children, the right to not have children, and the right to parent the children we have in safe & sustainable communities. I support folks of all ages, sizes, genders, family structures, disabilities or lack of, and races & ethnicities. I strongly believe that safe reproductive experiences mean not only physical safety, but importantly also emotional, mental, and interpersonal safety.

I was inspired to become a birth worker during the postnatal year after my wife gave birth to our baby. I chose to become a HypnoBirthing instructor in particular after witnessing the power of the techniques in our child’s birth. Witnessing my wife birth using this modality shifted my preconceived notions of birth. Using Hypnobirthing, she allowed herself to birth the way her body instinctually knew how, while staying grounded in her birth experience.

Being the primary support person in birth changed my life irrevocably in many ways. As we navigated the postnatal period, I became passionate about supporting families through their often challenging, often beautiful, and always transformative journeys.
